Radiology

Radiology is the medical discipline that uses medical imaging to diagnose and treat diseases within the bodies of  humans

science dealing with X-rays and other high-energy radiation, especially the use of such radiation for the diagnosis and treatment of disease

these may be performed with imaging guidance using x-rays, fluoroscopy, CT (computed tomography or CAT), Ultrasound or MRI. The radiology subspecialty devoted to the imaging, diagnosis and treatment of patients using trace doses of radioactive material.

Medical radiography includes a range of modalities producing many different types of image, each of which has a different clinical application

 Projectional radiography

Computed tomography

Dual energy X-ray absorptiometry

Fluoroscopy

Contrast radiography

Other medical imaging
